The goose population is growing. So is the damage geese cause and the danger geese pose to people. Migrating geese and local resident populations of Canada geese overgraze on lawns and other grassy areas, rapidly denuding lawns and landscapes, turning them into barren areas of dirt that once held lush grasses and ornamental plantings.

 

Aggressive geese attack, nip and hit people who venture too close to them.

And geese foul ponds, golf courses, campuses and swimming areas with fecal matter.
